Mayra Beauchamp, MD
Dr. Beauchamp is a board-certified dermatologist and originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico. She attended both undergraduate and medical school at the University of Puerto Rico in San Juan followed by an internship at the San Juan City Hospital and then a dermatology residency at the University of Puerto Rico where she served as chief resident during her final year. After completing her residency in 2010, she was an Assistant Professor at the University of Puerto Rico, where she trained Dermatology residents. She was also the Director of the Dermatology Mechanisms of Disease course for second year medical students. She worked at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in San Juan and had a private practice for 3 years prior to moving to New Hampshire to work for the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Clinic in Concord. She joined Winston-Salem Health Care Dermatology in 2016. She has an interest in general medical Dermatology and surgical Dermatology with particular interests in skin cancer prevention, early detection and treatment. She also finds it greatly rewarding to manage chronic skin conditions like acne, rosacea and psoriasis. During her free time, Dr. Beauchamp enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with her husband, Alex and their two daughters, Maia and Catalina.
Wesley Hawfield, MD
Dr. Hawfield is a board-certified dermatologist and native of Raleigh, NC, who attended both undergraduate and medical school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He completed his internship and training in dermatology at New York Weill Cornell Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. His interests are general medical and surgical dermatology, with particular interests in moles, melanoma, and dermoscopy. Outside of work he enjoys reading fiction, collecting and listening to music, exercising, and spending time with his daughters and wife.
Stephanie Sturgill, MD
Dr. Sturgill is a board-certified dermatologist who was previously in private practice in San Diego, CA. Originally from Florida, Dr. Sturgill received her undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She completed her residency at the University of California, San Diego. Her dermatology interests are broad and include both medical and surgical dermatology. She has a particular interest in diagnosing and treating skin problems in children as well as educating their families regarding these conditions. In her after-work hours she enjoys spending time with her husband, two sons and daughter, as well as running, reading, and traveling.
William Sturgill, MD
Dr. Sturgill is a board-certified dermatologist who was an attending dermatologist and head of the outpatient dermatology clinic at Naval Medical Center, San Diego, CA, from 2004 to 2007. Originally from Boone, NC, Dr. Sturgill received his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He completed an internal medicine internship at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD, before serving two years as a general medical officer with the US Marine Corps at Camp Lejeune, NC. He then completed his residency in dermatology at the Naval Medical Center, San Diego. His dermatology interests include both medical and surgical dermatology. He has a particular interest in the use of lasers and light based devices for medical conditions and aesthetic improvement. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, running, golfing, watching ACC basketball, reading, and traveling.
