Dept. of Transportation (DOT) exams

During the physical exam the physician checks your height, weight, blood pressure, vision, hearing and a physical examination is performed. If glasses are worn, bring them to your exam. A urine specimen is also requested.

Some employers request that you have a urine drug screen and breathe alcohol testing at the time of your physical exam.

Note: In most cases insurance does not pay for DOT exams and will be an out of pocket expense for the patient.
